This is a great little serve-all bowl that I use almost daily for cooking and for serving. While cooking, I use it for holding small quantities of liquids (egg whites, yolks, melted butter, etc.) and spices or chopped items such as garlic, onion, etc. When serving, I use it on the table for sauces, dips, soft margarine, etc. I also place the bowl atop a dinner plate (or the retired "welled snack plate") for individual servings of sauces, dips, or even small servings of vegetables. On Sunday mornings I use these bowls for heating up individual servings of syrup in the microwave; then we dip our waffles or pancakes into the hot syrup! (It’s much neater than pouring sticky syrup all over everything on your plate, and it keeps the waffles or pancakes from getting soggy!) When serving tacos or other fix-it-yourself style foods, I place several of these bowls on the table with chopped onions, black olives, jalapenos, salsa, sour cream, etc. and let everyone dig in and build their own tacos at the table! At dessert time they’re great for individual servings of Jell-O, puddings and custards, or even small ice cream sundaes! There are more uses for this little bowl than I can think of, and I think of new uses virtually every day! In a month's time, I don’t go more than a day or two without using these little bowls for something. My recommendation is to buy a half-dozen or so of these in assorted colors and put them in a handy spot in your kitchen. If they're in sight, you'll find you'll start reaching for them and using them daily just as I do! *** ONE IMPORTANT WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT THIS BOWL: This cute little bowl will get stuck if you place it inside a jumbo bowl or jumbo cup! Be very careful when stacking dirty dishes before placing them in the dishwasher (that's how I got mine stuck!). They can become permanently stuck and may not come out! (Or at the very least, they'll frustrate you for hours (or even days!) while you try to get the little stinker out of the bigger bowl! Try using vegetable oil, hot water, and lots of manpower. And I hate to recommend this, but if all else fails, decide which bowl to sacrifice (the bullion or the jumbo bowl) then wrap the whole thing in a dish towel, close your eyes tightly, and whack it with a hammer!)
