Although I have the round dishes, I find the square mug to be a perfect compliment to the round dishes. I have purchased a few "squares" to use as serving pieces also.

A novel idea, although the square shape is contrary to the original idea behind the concentric rings and the Art Deco styling of the original vintage Fiesta. With all the new colors coming out of Newell, do we dedicated Fiesta collectors really need to start collecting a whole new shape of Fiesta? I think not. I wouldn't have room in my house for square Fiesta even if I wanted it! I have a feeling this square Fiesta will quickly go the way of "Fiesta 2000". (Does anyone even remember Fiesta 2000? Anyone??? No? Well, point made!) For dedicated Fiesta collectors, this new square "Fiesta" isn't really "Fiesta" at all! Square "Fiesta" is just a marketing strategy designed to attract new customers who aren't at all interested in Fiesta by offering them a new product that isn't really related to the old product. "Fiesta" is round like a record baby! This new square stuff should be renamed; maybe they can call it "Squareware" because as far as I'm concerned it's made strictly for squares from squaresville!
